What are Dentures?
Dentures are natural-looking tooth replacements that can be used to replace one missing tooth, a row of teeth or a whole jaw of teeth. If you are missing some or all of your natural teeth, replacing them is important for your oral health.
Types of Dentures
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used when a patient is missing more than a few teeth. They are held in place by clasps that fit onto the natural teeth, and can be removed for cleaning and sleeping.
Full Dentures
Full dentures are used when a patient is missing a whole jaw of teeth. They are held in place by suction and can be removed for cleaning and sleeping.
Implant-Supported Dentures
When a patient does not have enough gum tissue to support a denture, a dental implant may be used to stabilize it.
